Yesterday Selfridges opened their roof to launch its big Rooftop Tea and Golf Party. Until the 2nd of September, you can enjoy the 9 hole crazy golf and the organic Daylesford Cafe for a wonderful afternoon tea.
The golf course was designed by Bompas & Parr, jellymongers and food architects extraordinaire, who used inspiration from the Selfridges' mini golf on the roof back in the 1930s. The course has been designed to look like a giant display of cakes, each representing a famous London landmark. We particularly enjoyed no.6, The Tower Bridge.
The Daylesford Cafe serves delicious, organic food that has been sourced from their farm. This includes a British afternoon tea, award-winning cheeseboards and even a gin jelly.
The roof is open from 12noon to store close everyday. The crazy golf is open Mon-Sat 12-7.30 and Sun 12-6, this can be booked at www.jellymogers.co.uk and some tickets will be available on the door. The roof can be accessed by the lifts in the fragrance hall.
