PPQ brings style to new nightlife destination Baroque

As Chartwell Magazine is a big fan of PPQ and Baroque, we were more than delighted to hear of their collaboration. They joined forces to create vintage inspired uniforms for Baroque, a sumptuous space oozing luxury with sophisticated and extravagant decor. Inspired by this theme but driven by simplicity, PPQ went with a gold and black led colour way. The result are uniforms with 1920s, 30s vintage feel, made with the highest quality fabrics available. Baroque at Playboy Club Launch Party

Tuesday 2^nd October, saw the much anticipated opening of new Mayfair venue, Baroque, the brainchild of esteemed entrepreneur Gerry Calabrese (of Hoxton Pony and Hoxton Gin acclaim.) Guests enjoyed live performances from award winning acts Mark Ronson, Delilah, and Dimitri from Paris. Olivia Grant, Simon Ambrose, Percy Parker and Amy Molyneaux were amongst those who came to celebrate the exciting launch.

The opulence and showmanship that is associated with the Baroque movement was brought vividly to life last night, as Gerry Calabrese's latest offering opened its doors for the first time. Complete with a lavish decor of ornate Louis XIV chairs, hanging paintings, and designer uniforms by fashion icons PPQ;  Baroque lived up to its name, as guests took in the sheer luxury of the venue.

Offering one of the most impressive champagne lists in Europe, and a live performance space that promises to be regularly filled with world-class acts, Baroque announced itself on the London scene.  Amidst the trademark 42- glass champagne coupette towers, famous faces including Josephine De La Baume and Olivia Grant enjoyed the live music played by some of the UK's hottest acts right now.

Sorry you missed the 60's

The Iconic Playboy Club London, on 14 Old Park Lane, Mayfair is launching ‘The Gallery at Playboy’ on March 20^th with an art exhibition, appropriately titled ‘Sorry You Missed the Sixties’. The club will then play host to a number of famous artists and photographers spanning the decades courtesy of Chester’s famous Watergate Street Gallery, each exhibiting their finest work in this intimate gallery space immersed within the hub of the club’s Players Lounge.

Art lovers will have an exclusive chance to see (and purchase) the selection of iconic photographs taken by internationally acclaimed photographer Philip Townsend, being exhibited at the Playboy Club London from Tuesday March 20^th through to the end of April.

The photographs date back to the 60’s when Townsend, THE famous celebrity snapper of the sixties captured screen icons and household names alike across this magical decade. As the Sixties swung, photographer Philip Townsend was there to record all the prime people of the time, beautiful and ugly alike. He encapsulated the debs and their beaux, lords and club owners, press barons and business moguls, stars and socialites, royals and ruffians, and above all the new aristocrats of pop and rock, spearheaded by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

Grab the opportunity to see the fabulous nostalgia filled collection – an art exhibition not to be missed. Non-members are welcome to visit the exhibition from March 21^st- April 30^th, Monday-Saturday between 12 and 9pm, and anytime Sundays. Playboy Club London is a 24 hour venue.
