Wednesday, 7th November, saw the launch of Whiteleys ‘Tashatorium’ pop-up Gentleman’s Lounge: London’s only ‘immersive theatre event for chaps’, officially opened by comedy trio The Cuban Brothers and designer Henrietta Ludgate... all in aid of the month known as Movember.
Discerning chaps (and ladies in disguise) were cordially invited to indulge themselves in a luxurious and frankly curious encounter (moustache and male grooming haven) where bizarre characters set challenges and entertained in the most peculiar of ways.
Internationally renowned comedy trio The Cuban Brothers (Kengo San, Miguel Mantovani and Archerio) entered in style wearing their signature loud suits, hats and heavy ‘bling’ gold jewellery and proceeded to keep the crowd in serious fits of laughter as they sang, break-danced and MC’ed their way to the official opening of the pop-up Gentleman’s Lounge. Movember was never very far away from anyone’s thoughts, thoughts which Miguel loudly echoed shouting “Men, keep checking your bollockos” whilst grabbing his own for emphasis!

Scottish darling of the ‘eco fashion movement’ and multiple fashion award winner Henrietta Ludgate looked incredible on arrival, wearing a padded blue a-line skirt, towering heels and striped structured top. On emerging from the Tashatorium (and a close encounter with the cut-throat barber) she looked even more incredible- sporting a HUGE bushy moustache which she refused to take off all night- proving the point that ladies really can enthusiastically take part in Movember.
