Young driver Ollie Millroy makes his Monza debut

Ollie had a very strong weekend in his first ever GT3 race at the historic Monza circuit in Italy, setting lap times to match the leading cars. In extremely wet conditions competing and a completely different type of race format, Ollie didn't put a foot wrong and was setting very consistent fast times impressing his team, Ecurie Ecosse in the BMW Z4 GT3.

Friday's free practice was dominated by electrical problems, causing the engine to cut out and severely restricting Ollie and his team mates seat time. The BMW Motorsport engineers worked hard alongside Ecurie Ecosse and Barwell Motorsport to find the cause of the problem, which was huge relief for the team ahead of qualifying.
With 57 cars on the track for qualifying it was difficult for anyone to get a clear lap but with the car now without trouble, Ollie made the best of it. On new tyres Ollie tried to find as much space as possible to put in two consecutive flying laps and immediately put in two very quick sectors only to be held up by a slower car on sector three, costing him time.
Starting the race in 30th position the team elected Andrew Smith to do the first stint in what can only be described as treacherous conditions. After 55 minute's Ollie took over the car which was now in P50 and immediately began to make his way through the field. Lap after lap with consistantly quick times Ollie set about making up places and after a 70 minute stint, ended up P15 for team mate Joe Twyman to take over. Joe had a very solid stint in drying conditions and eventually brought the car home in 21st position, 11th in the Pro-Am Class.
'That was my first ever GT race, my first endurance event and the first time I have driven the BMW Z4 GT3 in the rain - and I loved the lot! I was on a mission the whole way through my stint and when my engineer called me in for the driver change I just wanted to stay out there! It was a great performance by the whole team and I really hope to be out with them again at Silverstone.'

Ollie hopes to compete in the next race at Silverstone on the 2nd June 2012.

New angel - Victoria's Secret

Joining the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel, German model Toni Garrn has been confirmed as the latest Victoria’s Secret Angel.

Many a supermodel including Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks has made a name as a an Angel for the lingerie giant, and on April 11 the brand revealed via its Twitter account that Garrn is its newest official spokesAngel.

Her membership to the elite group of spokesmodels for Victoria’s Secret comes after she walked her first runway show for the company back in November alongside Karlie Kloss, who was also making her debut catwalk appearance for the company.
Discovered in her native Germany back in 2006, the statuesque blonde made her first catwalk appearance at the Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 2008 runway show.
Garrn has kept a surprisingly low profile in the fashion world up to now — despite already clocking up campaigns for major fashion houses including Givenchy and Ralph Lauren. With her newly elevated status, expect to see and hear a great deal more.

Mint Polo in the Park 2012

Welcome to MINT Polo in the Park - a three day celebration of international polo, lifestyle and family entertainment.

Since its debut in 2009, MINT Polo in the Park has rapidly established itself as one of the leading central London sporting events - selling out to both the corporate market and general public in 2010 and 2011.

In a similar way to how Twenty20 has changed the image of cricket, MINT Polo in the Park has adapted the traditional rules of polo to create a high octane, fast moving and dynamic sport which attracts spectators and the media alike.

Six teams each representing global cities will play in a 'Round Robin' format over the 3 days, culminating with the Final and the presentation of the MINT Trophy on Sunday 10th June 2012. 2011 saw Team Abu Dhabi claim victory after a hard fight against Team Gaucho Buenos Aires.

2012’s event will build on the success of previous years to bring another glittering, action-packed event. With several new additions, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Fabulous attractions for 2012: DOUBLE the amount of bar and garden space, MORE on-pitch entertainment, with larger spectator viewing areas, improved children's zone and, of course, world class polo throughout the day.

Friday evening brings you the ‘Veuve Clicquot at Hurlingham’ Launch Party – Join us at the world famous Hurlingham club for a truly fabulous evening to celebrate our event in style.

Yachting holidays...

The Yacht Week is a new yachting holiday company founded by two Swedish entrepreneurs who are opening up sailing holidays to new audiences and making them more accessible to holidaymakers who have never considered sailing before - much as skiing became popular in the 1970s.
The Yacht Week, ideal for 20 - 38 year olds is making some of the world's untouched coastlines accessible to all. The Yacht Week consists of more than 700 boats of 38ft to 59ft for hire in Croatia, Greece, Italy (NEW July 2012) and British Virgin Islands. Customers can either crew themselves, or bring aboard a personal skipper to do the hard work. These skippers are supplied by The Yacht Week. Groups can either sail with the flotilla of 30 - 70 yachts or sail away on their own route. We draw up a programme of routes, places to explore, and on-shore parties along the way. Rates start from £400 per person per week.

Top Marques Monaco

The Ultimate SuperCar Show

World launches * Record-breaking supercars * Test drives * Expanded exhibition space *
Top Marques watches & jewellry * Sea trials
Top Marques Monaco is revered as the world’s most exclusive supercar show where you can experience the latest state-of-the-art machines with test drives on the Formula 1 circuit - mere weeks before the famous race takes place. Car afficionados can’t beat the sensation of manoeuvring the Racasse corner in a Koenigsegg Agera R – BBC’s Top Gear Hyper Car of the Year and a Guinness Book of World Records holder. It does a thrilling 0-300 km/h in 14.53 seconds. Nor will they be able to resist the staggering power of the Roding Rodster whose entire chassis is constructed with the highest grade carbon fiber, combined with a BMW 6 in line 320 hp Turbo engine. And best news of all, Top Marques Monaco will launch the world premiere of the stunning, handbuilt Renovatio T 500 from Tushek in Slovenia.

At Top Marques we think our way is the only way to experience a car. The old practice of car shows prohibited the public getting up close and viewing was from behind a velvet rope. At Top Marques visitors can touch and feel the pure power and precision of the supercars; the arresting fumes of petrol ready to burn and the anticipation of powerful engines revving into action in the test drive pits dominate the show.

There are no barriers at Top Marques – except at the VIP bar.
No limits on speed. Tick. Though visitors often simply stop and stare.
No pesky velvet red ropes protecting the cars. Tick.
No parameters curtailing the imagination. Tick.
Instead Top Marques is about possibilities that you won’t find anywhere else. It is about visitors getting into the car and behind the wheel. It is about meeting the creators, designers and engineers of these masterpieces. The show’s ethos says it all: See it! Drive it! Buy it!
