ESPA Metropole Monte-Carlo



On 15th November 2012, Métropole ESPA Monte-Carlo, the only ESPA in France, will reopen its doors to guests and non-residents. The spa has been closed whilst the pool area and the new Joël Robuchon restaurant are being renovated by the world’s most renowned fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The spa below the first floor will reopen with a new selection of bespoke treatments inspired by the Ancient Greek Mythology theme chosen by Karl Lagerfeld to renovate the above premises.
The Métropole ESPA Monte-Carlo, designed by Jacques Garcia, will introduce in addition to the existing selection, a variety of treatments from a new Grecian inspired menu aimed at both men and women and designed to relax and rejuvenate. Using luxurious ingredients the range will present the perfect combination of personalisation, relaxation and long-lasting results. All treatments will be carried out within the spa’s beautifully appointed rooms, each designed to create a peaceful environment whilst ensuring guests’ absolute privacy.  

Four signature treatment packages await guests at Métropole ESPA Monte-Carlo: Eros, Hercules, Neptune, Hera (see their website for details).

Pink October in Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo



This October, like nearly 40 countries around the world, Monaco will turn pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In collaboration with the charity ‘Pink Ribbon Monaco’ and in celebration of a new breast cancer screening center in the Principality of Monaco, Hôtel Métropole will show its support with a ‘Pink October’ theme running throughout the hotel from 02 to 31 October 2012.

Besides pink lighting and other pink touches of the interior, the bar manager, Mickaël Bellec, has created the ‘Rose Passion Cocktail’: a cognac-based mix infused with Madagascar vanilla, white cocoa, a wild strawberry liqueur and dairy cream. The cocktail will be served in a pink shaker with strawberry candy. In addition, the head pastry cook, Satomi Kanai, has designed a desert called ‘Pink’ made up of egg white, hibiscus jelly and a yuzu sauce.
The ‘Pink October’ theme is in keeping with the Hotel Métropole’s ongoing artistic themes which are installed approximately every four months. Maud Lesur, the Artistic Director at Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, works together with “Miss Rose”, Hotel Métropole’s highly talented in-house stylist and florist, to dress and transform the hotel throughout the seasons.
