Toshiba TEC goes up on the roof at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

At this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Toshiba TEC's printing technology was a key element of a unique and innovative garden design that aimed to extend the scope of the working office.

Rooftop Workplace of Tomorrow, sponsored by RBS in association with Walworth Garden Farm, was one of the first ever RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s rooftop inspired show gardens. The garden features an LCD sports screen, tablets, laptops and printing technology, all created via Wi-FI, and shows how unused urban rooftop space can be turned into a place of beauty; creating an inspirational, relaxing and thought-provoking working environment.

The concept was the brainchild of Patricia Fox from Aralia Garden Design – one of the country’s leading design practices that creates functional outdoor spaces of the highest quality. Explaining the motivation for her creation, Patricia Fox said, ‘With portable technology, tablets and smart phones are becoming integral tools of the modern workforce, outdoor offices will be a common sight in years to come. Businesses also need to make best use of available space and rooftops have huge potential for achieving this.’
